LL Pelling is looking for a skilled heavy equipment mechanic to maintain and repair our construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This full-time, year-round position comes with a competitive benefits package including a company-provided pickup truck. Mechanics perform work both inside a shop and outside, directly on construction sites. Responsibilities + Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on road construction equipment and fleet vehicles. + Troubleshoot malfunctions and determine repairs needed. + Complete maintenance and repair logs. + Additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience + Minimum 2 years experience repairing heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles. Or, the equivalent combination of education and experience. + Valid driver's license with insurable driving record + Be at least 18 years of age. Required Skills/Abilities + Must have regular dependable attendance to be physically present in the shop each day. + Ability to drive to job sites and company locations using company pickup. + Able to work independently with little to no direction and in a team environment. + Great communication skills. + Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
