As part of the Knight-Swift (KNX) family of LTL companies, we're now rebranded as **DHE Transportation** , alongside AAA Cooper and Midwest Motor Express. **Fleet Mechanics** play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of trucks and trailers. **Job Responsibilities:** + Perform maintenance and repairs on freight tractors and trailers. + Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance. + Possess thorough knowledge of all DOT safety inspections. + Execute repairs to diesel engines as needed. + Collaborate with fellow mechanics and shop foremen to diagnose and repair company vehicles. + Regularly perform yard checks to maintain safety and efficiency. + Communicate with relevant divisions regarding vehicle status and availability. + Handle special projects as assigned by management.
