**Job Title: Small Engine Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled mechanic with expertise in 2-stroke engines to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality of various small engines used in landscaping, construction, and recreational activities. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose and repair issues in 2-stroke engines used in equipment like lawnmowers, chainsaws, and motorcycles. + Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure engines run smoothly. + Inspect engines for malfunctioning parts and replace or repair them as needed. + Maintain records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. + Communicate with customers to explain issues and repairs needed. **Essential Skills** + Understanding of 2-stroke engine mechanics, including lubrication, cooling, ignition, and fuel systems. + Ability to diagnose engine problems accurately and efficiently. + Skilled in using tools and equipment for engine repair and maintenance. + Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and document work. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Attention to detail to ensure every part of the engine is properly assessed, repaired, or replaced to avoid recurring issues. + Proficient use of diagnostic tools for accurate troubleshooting and efficient repair work. + Formal training in small engine repair, providing foundational knowledge and proficiency in the field. + Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers, explain technical issues, and provide excellent service. + Ability to manage time efficiently to handle multiple repair jobs and meet deadlines. + Flexibility to work on various types of 2-stroke engines and stay updated with new technologies and repair techniques. + Knowledge of safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
