TalentWorld is hiring a skilled 310T Mechanic Apprentice for our well-established manufacturing and distribution client in Barrie, ON. This is a permanent, direct-hire position with straight day shifts and health and dental benefits after 3 months. What’s in it for you: Health and dental benefits after 90 working days Salary range up to $32/hr based on experience Pension contributions after 1 year Up to 5% RRSP match Overtime opportunities available Annual tool allowance of up to $600 Annual boot allowance of up to $200 Fun social events throughout the year Mechanic Apprentice Responsibilities: Diagnose, test, adjust, and repair heavy-duty vehicle systems. Conduct test drives, examine vehicles, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and procedures. Perform repairs and replace defective parts as needed. Carry out routine and scheduled maintenance according to manufacturer specifications. Manage parts inventory and ensure timely restocking. Provide emergency roadside repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate records of repairs and preventative maintenance for the Fleet Administrator. Mechanic Apprentice Qualifications: Registered 310T apprentice in your second or third year (preferred). Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve both basic and complex mechanical issues. In-depth knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and best practices related to engine repair, and mechanical and electrical systems.
