UES is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanic Assistant to join our dynamic drilling department. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a hands-on environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment both in the field and at our shop/yard.Conduct thorough maintenance inspections and execute preventive maintenance programs.Monitor inventory and assist in assembling mechanical components.Diagnose equipment issues, replace, or repair parts, and make necessary adjustments.Provide timely emergency and unscheduled repairs as well as scheduled maintenance.Collaborate with your supervisor and team on various tasks as assigned.Be prepared to travel to field locations and remote shops as needed.Work flexible hours, including overtime, emergency call-ins, and weekends based on workload demands.Perform welding and torching tasks on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.Adhere to safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized work area.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Valid Texas driver’s license.Proficient in using job-related tools and equipment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Welding experience is a plus; Class A CDL preferred but not required.UES is the #1 fastest-growing AEC firm on The Zweig Group’s Hot Firm list in 2021, 2022 & 2023.
