Schedule Details: • Must be capable of basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other maintenance activities. • Maintains refrigerators, refrigerated water fountains, ice makers, freezers, walk-in coolers, and walk-in freezers and other kitchen equipment. • Orders needed parts and supplies. • Reports on repair status of down equipment to the supervisor and the customer owning it. • Recognizes priorities of patient care and other equipment needs, scheduling repairs accordingly. • Works within hospital/departmental guidelines and procedures. • Maintain records of equipment status. • Maintains inventory of refrigerated equipment current. • Logs repair work and parts usage on individual history documents. • Demonstrates knowledge of the pneumatic tube system. • Performs P.M. and repairs as required. • Is familiar with the safe and proper use of hand and power tools. • Perform/Carry out a variety of other duties as assigned in order to establish a good working relationship with co-workers and management. • On Call scheduled /rotation 

 

What You Will Do:

Mechanic/Operator monitors all central mechanical systems, such as boilers, HVAC units, snow melt, medical gas, plumbing, emergency power systems and associated equipment supporting ProHealth Care buildings. Performs PM's and repair maintenance on selected equipment and building systems, along with the buildings themselves. Monitors building automation system. Assists other crafts and works on all designated ProHealth Care System equipment. Performs PM's and repairs on assigned ventilation, heating and cooling systems.

 

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Valid WI driver's license and in good standing Specialized expertise in building systems and maintenance required Two years of experience preferred
