QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Licensing, and Certifications Required:High school diploma or equivalent, such as GEDMust be age 21 or older Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driving License Class B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements. (We have paid training for the qualified candidate to obtain their CDL) Education, Licensing, and Certifications Preferred:Appropriate Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferredExperience:1 or more years of experience in the repair and maintenance of all types of heavy-duty transit equipmentApplicants must pass internal Mechanic test with a score of 40-50%Skills and Knowledge Required: Good written and oral communication skillsBroad understanding of all mechanical systems Ability to read, interpret and apply documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagramsAbility to read and write routine reports, forms, and other documentation or correspondenceAbility to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to detailsTravel requirement (as a percent):
