James Hardie, a leader in fiber cement technology, is seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Peru, IL. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our innovative manufacturing processes and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Execute predictive and preventative maintenance programs for critical machinery and equipment Repair and maintain bucket elevators, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems Ensure efficient operation of machinery to maintain production quality and output Diagnose mechanical issues using precision measuring and testing instruments Perform equipment dismantling and parts replacement using hoists, cranes, and specialized tools Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies Qualifications Associate degree in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education Minimum 5 years of heavy industrial mechanical and millwright experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail Proficiency in root cause analysis and fault-free analysis techniques Why Join James Hardie?
