Job Summary:

Primarily responsible for oversight to all of Goodwill vehicles and equipment such as Donated Goods box trucks, tractor and trailers, facilities vans, LCI’s vehicles, lawn equipment, and trailers. This may include the design, installation, and maintenance of equipment. Also responsible for heavy line diesel engines. Responsible for assessing the need for replacement of equipment and escalating to the Senior Director of Transportation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

AA or AS Degree preferred, High School Diploma

Experience

2+ years

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration

Valid Driver’s License

Other

 

 

Must have prior experience repairing "commercial" equipment and vehicles.

Job Duties

Essential Duties

% of Time

Responsible for repair and maintenance of all fleet vehicles and equipment including scheduling for repair and maintenance that cannot be performed onsite.

 

Responsible for trailer maintenance and record keeping

 

Responsible for maintaining the inventory of all trailers, vehicles, shop supplies and lawn equipment and DGR equipment

 

Must be organized in record keeping of equipment/vehicles/parts/tools

 

Must be self motivated to work without supervision

 

Must have general knowledge of heavy line diesel engines

 

Ability to perform repairs on small engines and operating equipment such as bailers.

 

Ability to perform general maintenance, including but not limited to changing of all fluids, all filters, lube chassis, and perform safety inspections.

 

Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.  Must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations including those required for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).

 

Other duties may be assigned as business directives change.
