Job Description:
Responsible for repairs and maintenance on variety of construction equipment.** This role is Day time shift with occasional overtime as required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnosis and repair transmissions, engines, differentials, electrical and hydraulic components associated with heavy construction equipment in a shop environment.Utilize a laptop computer for information and diagnostic purposes for the safe assembly and disassembly of components.Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems.Write and complete service reports.Participate in company training programs.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:
Two year technical degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment mechanics, small engine repair, or similar preferred5+ years’ experience preferredSkills and Abilities:
Use hand tools, air tools, test equipment, powered shop tools, and overhead crane.Operation of a variety of types of equipmentDiagnosis and repair of diesel enginesMaintenance, diagnosis and repair of equipment electrical systemsHydraulic troubleshootingUse of hydraulic and electrical schematicsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy equipment.Crane knowledge a plusAbility to properly document work completedDesire to take on new challengesKokosing is an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action federal and state contractor.
