Mechanic Helper
**Job Title: Mechanic Helper** **Job Description** The mechanic helper will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and replacing parts on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles. This role will primarily be based in a shop setting, assisting with oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance tasks. The mechanic helper will also be tasked with cleaning and organizing the shop, sorting tools, and lending support to the full staff mechanics as needed. **Responsibilities** + Assist with oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance tasks. + Help maintain, repair, and replace parts on heavy equipment and fleet vehicles. + Clean and organize the shop and work areas. + Sort tools and ensure they are properly stored. + Assist full staff mechanics with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting tasks. + Use wrenches to assemble and disassemble equipment. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical assembly experience. + Ability to use wrenches and other basic tools for assembly and disassembly. + Experience with mechanical troubleshooting. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in construction, diesel mechanics, auto mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, and equipment repair. **Why Work Here?** This is a full-time, shop-based position with no travel or weekend work required. While most work will be indoors, occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions may be required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Clinton, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
