Mechanic (JOIN FAST)
**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** We are hiring for mechanics to build concrete pumping equipment. Mechanics will read and interpret blueprints to assemble components for concrete pump trucks or trailers. They will also perform a variety of related mechanical assembly duties on prototype units using hand and power tools. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints to assemble components for concrete pump trucks or trailers. + Perform a variety of related mechanical assembly duties on prototype units. + Utilize hand and power tools to build each unit. + Follow work instructions from the Build Book program on the computer to assemble all required parts. + Follow engineering drawings and bills of materials, and request parts from the Parts Department as required. + Lay out truck details per engineering prints on a job-by-job basis. + Perform final assembly of all units, including hoods, electric, lights, and stickers to customer specifications. + Install hydraulic lines and fill them with oil in preparation for required testing. + Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, installing parts, and reassembling the unit by following procedures. + Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they are functioning properly and are of good quality. + Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures. + Maintain tools and the workspace in good condition. + May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Hydraulics, brake line, chassis work, and blueprint experience. + Previous experience with heavy mechanical equipment. + Ability to work overtime when needed. + Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds. + Ability to learn blueprints and schematics. + Basic math knowledge. + Have their own tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience with heavy mechanical equipment is preferred. + Flexibility to work overtime, with scheduling and start times accommodations. + Pay raises based on performance. **Why Work Here?** The company offers quarterly bonuses based on company profit and total hours worked. Each bay has a computer for parts ordering and blueprints access. The environment involves working around large booms in a louder, but clean, manufacturing setting. There are 8 different buildings with an outside yard between each building, including a weld shop, paint shop, and warehouse. Mechanics must navigate on the computer and move between buildings as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
