Job Description

Pay Rate: $31.55 per hour

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm.  Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Safely performing all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems (i.e. fabricating, welding, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and performing required preventative maintenance). Maintain required records, reporting in writing any uncorrected mechanical/electrical defects and replacement parts to the supervisor.Direct/instruct subordinate employees still in training (e.g. Maintenance Mechanic B, C and Trainees). Coordinating equipment downtime, services and problems with area operators and detecting potential mechanical/electrical problems and planning for repairs.

Qualifications

3-5 years of production equipment maintenance experience.Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.Must have ability to lead and train lower-level maintenance personnel.Physically, must be able to: Work in high places, climb ladders and stairs, work from ladders/scaffolds, also work in pits and silos (confined spaces).Bend, kneel and walk frequently.Move heave objects, lift and move 50 pounds,Mechanically, must: Be able to make decisions and judgments on an ongoing basis. Be familiar with all phases of maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.Know the mill flow patterns, dry as well as liquid.Know the proper lubricating technique for all mill equipment.Be able to perform routine services and troubleshoot and repair all mill equipment.Be able to weld and fabricate to repair all mill equipment, and installation of new equipment as needed.Be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed and able to show up on time and as schduled.
