Mechanic Senior (Level III)

FLANDERS is looking for a full-time Mechanic with strong safety orientation and attention to detail. Over-all Mechanic who can disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, test, reassemble complex and non-routine AC and DC electromechanical motors and equipment. Able to work in multiple areas.
Here's What You'll Do:
Disassembly Disassemble complex electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, condition, problems, and failures. Properly mark parts, take photos, and thoroughly complete documentation on iPad, to ensure accurate job completion that meets company and ISO standards. Testing Perform basic tests of electromechanical equipment and document accordingly. Troubleshoot known or suspected problems. Operate Megger, DC Hypot, Surge Tester, AC Hypot, Volt-Ohm Meter, Amp Meters, and Feeler Gauges, Tem. Chart Recorder, Megger PI (Polarization Index), and 810 Vibration Meter as needed on jobs. Be aware of any abnormalities in test run (rubbing, noise, end play, brush noise, and commutation, etc.). Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment at proper voltage and operation. Repairs or replace defective mechanical or electromechanical parts including but not limited to bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, couplers, brake assemblies and drums, tachs, fans, and end shields.Assembly: Assist, train and give direction to other Mechanics with the final assembly of motors per instructions for each specific job. Assemble complex and non-routine motors and equipment including ball, roller, and sleeve bearings.Final Test Run Operate Amp Meters, Temp Chard Recorder and IRD/CSI vibration meter. Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment at proper voltage, operation and rotations. Be aware of any abnormalities in test run (rubbing, noise, end play, brush noise, and commutation, etc.). Operate various pieces of equipment including a buffer, air tools, hand and foot shear, forklifts and hoists.Here's What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent.7 years or more experience as a electrical motor mechanic preferredAbility to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructions.Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.Ability to operate fork lift trucks, and other equipment.Ability to receive respirator clearance. Ability to read tape measures, dial calipers, and micrometers.
