Mechanic (Truck and Trailer)

TalentWorld is recruiting a Mechanic (Truck and Trailer) in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
 
Responsibilities Maintain and repair company vehicles and equipment, including trucks, trailers, and forklifts. Use diagnostic tools to identify and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Complete routine maintenance and off-site repairs for immobilized vehicles. Perform road tests to ensure proper functionality of repaired equipment. Keep the shop organized, clean, and ensure all repairs are documented. Transport vehicles and parts as needed. Adhere to safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment. Stay up-to-date on skills and take on additional tasks as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education (preferred). Red Seal Certification (preferred) or equivalent in Truck and Transport Mechanic. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required. Minimum 4 years of experience working with transportation vehicles. Level 3 Apprenticeship completion is desirable. Proficiency with diagnostic tools for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Manitoba Safety Inspection Mechanic certification is a must. Experience with repair management software. Welding skills and own toolbox are advantageous. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Employment Details Salary: Competitive compensation starting at $38/HR and benefits package Benefits: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite, with benefits and stability Schedule: Monday to Friday morning shifts.
