The Opportunity 

  

Full-time position at a Growth-Oriented Energy Company

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position must be capable of reading technical drawings, welding, pipefitting, torquing, and general maintenance activities. 

 

Key activities include: 

Reading and understanding technical drawings in order to perform welding and installation of piping components, structural steel, and general welding. 

Welding using gas, electric arc, helium gas welding, and Heli arc. 

Torquing of bolts and blinding. 

Be capable of learning rigging techniques. 

Be capable of using torquing equipment such as pneumatic guns and hydraulic torquing equipment. 

Must be able to work in confined spaces such as drums, towers, and tank. 

Must be able to work in high place while wearing fall protection equipment. 

Compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Standards. 

Must be available for call out and overtime work. 

Assembling tools and materials. 

Maintaining housekeeping of the shop and work area. 

Participate in work and safety audits. 

Perform hot taps. 

Perform pipe fitting. 

Perform rigging. 

Understand and take direction from Supervisors. 

Work with others well. 

Effective written and verbal communication skills.  (Communicate to others and to Supervisor.)

The Qualifications 

To meet the basic qualifications for employment, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Qualifications for this role:  

Minimum two (2) years trade school preferred 

Five (5) years’ experience as a Welder, Pipefitter, Mechanical or Boilermaker preferred.  

Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License with acceptable Driver’s Abstract 

High School diploma or GED required 

Must be able available for after-hour work (call outs), weekends and work overtime as needed. 

Cannot be afraid of heights or of being in confined spaces such as drums, towers or tanks.

Hiring Range: 

The hiring range for this position is $32.90/hr. to $42.88/hr. The candidate selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
