General job function: Develop skills necessary to qualify as a skilled Maintenance craftsperson.

Duties and responsibilities:

Attend all assigned training and satisfactorily complete all assigned course work and lab work. Make satisfactory progress on applicable qualification cards. Learn to safely, properly utilize Maintenance hand tools, personal protective equipment, shop equipment and a variety of tools including but not limited to impact wrenches, saws, drills, hydraulic presses, pipe threading machines, ladders, scaffolding, cranes, forklifts, tractors, mobile platforms, cranes, etc. Under instruction, perform both routine and complex maintenance functions in the plant. Maintain, install, repair, troubleshoot, modify and rebuild machinery, buildings, and facilities. Make requested repairs to tools and equipment. Learn to effectively utilize Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility’s (CFFF) Leading2Lean Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other site proprietary databases required to complete assigned maintenance tasks. Adhere to all Columbia facility and Maintenance department requirements and procedures.

Prerequisites:

High school graduate or equivalent. Satisfactory performance in present or former positions. Must be committed to development of the skills necessary to become a skilled craftsperson Must be able to work off scaffolding or at heights. Must be able to acquire and maintain respirator qualifications  Must be physically capable of performing maintenance related task 2+ years' experience working in an industrial facility Prior Industrial Mechanical Maintenance experience desirable

•             Ability to learn and utilize Westinghouse propriety computer software

•             Must satisfactorily meet background checks and fitness-for-duty requirements

•             Ability to maintain respirator qualifications
