We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler and Fabricator. The ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of mechanical principles and hands-on experience with a variety of tools and equipment. Job Details and Duties Starting pay $30-$33 based on experience Perform mechanical assembly Operates drill presses or other equipment to assist in assembly operation. Confer with engineers, production personnel, customers, or others to resolve assembly problems. Equipment may require adjustment, fitting, or aligning due to required close tolerance and precision fits. Experience wiring and troubleshooting machinery from electrical schematics strong plus. Hydraulics experience is a strong plus. Stick, mig, tig and pipe weld. May disassemble machinery for rebuilding or shipping. Uses precision measuring instruments to determine proper fit. Layout and plan assemblies or sub-assemblies according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints. May select materials and parts. Performs other duties as assigned to support the operation of the company. Job Requirements Experience in mechanical assembly Experience wiring and troubleshooting machinery from electrical schematics Ability to stick, mig, tig and pipe weld Ability to speak/read/write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, engineering blueprints, sketches, and job layouts. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to groups of employees Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use heavy equipment such as lift trucks, overhead boom cranes, ladders May travel to customer and supplier locations Experience in electrical or electronic engineering technology is a plus. Welding certification is also a plus. Must provide their own tools.
