**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality. Responsibilities include: - Interpret assembly and elevation drawings - Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies - Read tape measure - Experience using manual hand tools (wrench, screwdriver, pliers) - Experience with power tools (drill, impact, pneumatic torque wrench) Job Requirements: - At least 2 years’ experience as a Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder or even Automotive Mechanic working in a more job shop environment and not on an assembly line - Must have knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics - Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools - Perform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals - Must be able to read, write, and converse fluently in English with the level of competency that will permit the applicant to function in the position **Hard Skills** + Blueprint interpretation + Mechanical assembly + Manual hand tools + Power tools + Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics + Basic math functions **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
