**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team on the 2nd shift from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. In this role, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of test equipment, including our flagship model, the 'Eclipse' test machine. You will build machines from blueprints, complete plumbing, and electrical wiring using hand tools and power tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble test equipment based on blueprints.
+ Perform plumbing and electrical wiring tasks.
+ Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly.
+ Ensure machines are built to specifications and standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Proficiency in using screwdrivers, impact guns, and pliers.
+ Mechanical aptitude for assembling from prints or diagrams.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with machine building.
+ Familiarity with plumbing and electrical tasks.
+ Skilled in using power tools.

**Work Environment**
Our company is a leading performer in the manufacturing and assembly of pathology, histology, necropsy, and morgue equipment. We have a clean work environment with a total of 84 employees, including 10 welders in the welding group. The dress code includes working attire, a welding helmet, welding gloves, and steel-toe boots. Our facility is divided into multiple areas for work-in-process (WIP), starting from raw materials to creating a finished product all under one roof. Departments include Engineering, Machining, Welding, Metal Finishing, and Shipping/Receiving.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison Heights, Michigan.
