Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** kContractors will be assembling metal parts (extendobeds) from our welding shop into the final product and crating it up for shipment. Extendobeds go into the back of police and fire vehicles that have drawers that hold all their supplies and tools. These are all custom made. Assembling includes drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, using a variety of hand tools, and light metal fabrication. The position will install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product. Candidates need to have a good knowledge of hand tools, power tools, tape measuring, and math. The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs. **Responsibilities** + Assemble metal parts (extendobeds) from the welding shop into the final product. + Crate products for shipment. + Drill, saw (metal and wood), and rivet using a variety of hand tools. + Perform light metal fabrication. + Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product. + Utilize hand tools such as panel saws, table saws, staple guns, drills, etc. **Essential Skills** + Experience with hand tools and power tools. + Proficiency in tape measuring and math. + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Automotive electrical experience and/or press brake experience is a plus. + Experience with welding, FL, powder coating, and fabrication is a big plus. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy pay increases throughout your contract period, starting at $19.50/hour, increasing to $20.50/hour after 30 days, and reaching $21.50/hour after 60 days and upon conversion. The shift is Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 3:30 pm, with some overtime. Typically working 45-50 hours per week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
