**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for pre-assembling shelves and racks and installing them into Ford Transit Vans and Trucks. This role requires experience with hand tools such as wrenches, drills, and impacts. The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently and with precision from day one, as training on hand tool usage will not be provided.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform pre-assembly on shelves and racks.
+ Install assembled units into Ford Transit Vans and Trucks.
+ Utilize hand tools including wrenches, drills, and impacts.
+ Measure and assemble components quickly and accurately.
+ Work collaboratively with team members to ensure project completion.
+ Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 1 year of recent mechanical assembly experience.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools such as impacts, drills, and screwdrivers.
+ Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
+ Mechanical assembly and installation skills.
+ High School Diploma or GED.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Prior manufacturing experience in a fast-paced environment.
+ Upfitting or automotive mechanic experience is a plus.
+ No certifications required.

**Work Environment**
The job takes place in the Subtropolis underground caves, located on the north side of 210 HWY near Ameristar Casino. The workspace is not climate controlled, but the temperature remains moderate due to the underground setting. The caves are constantly being expanded, which can cause occasional dust. The team size varies from 25-100 people based on project needs. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and comfortable work shoes with closed toes and leather soles. Steel-toed boots are not required, but no baggy clothing or tank tops are allowed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, Missouri.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
