Job Description
This position is closer to a construction type role than it is assembly. You will be virtually constructing steel buildings and assembling large 40-foot tall structural steel housing units. You will work safely in a small team of 3-6 people, assembling metal wall panels to a metal frame, cutting and installing insulation, and installing metal sheets, doors, and other sub-components to the structure. The role requires precision and the use of tape measures and squares to ensure accuracy, as well as prints, drawings, and work instructions to build structures correctly.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble metal wall panels to a metal frame.Cut and install insulation to the wall panels.Install metal sheets to wall panels.Install metal doors and other sub-components to the structure.Use tape measures and squares to ensure assembly is done correctly.Utilize prints, drawings, and work instructions to build structures.Work on step stools and ladders.Stand on feet for the majority of the day.Utilize overhead cranes and JIBB cranes to move large pieces of steel.Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.Utilize computers as needed.Hold measurements to a specific tolerance.Complete assemblies within goal hours.Keep the work area clean.Assist with training new employees.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma OR GEDMinimum of 1 year experience with assembly OR hand/power tools.Minimum 2 years experience with tape measure and must be able to read it accurately.Proficiency with blueprints, schematics, OR work instructions.Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repair.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to understand that this is a very physical job similar to construction work.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes shifts on the 1st shift (6:00am-2:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am). Employees are required to work 45-50 hours per week and 1-2 Saturdays per month, with roughly 4 hours on Saturday. Double-time is offered on a voluntary basis on Sundays. The facility operates in a 150,000 square foot manufacturing space. The dress code includes jeans, shirt, steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
