Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling struts, hydraulic systems, and door hinges. Utilizing metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost, you will ensure all defined standards are met.

ResponsibilitiesAccurately determine methods and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily availableCorrectly use assembly drawingsCreate and make initial layouts accuratelyPerform wiring, component installation, and hand soldering with efficiency and attention to detail, working from assembly drawings or pictorial informationMake continuity checks of work in process and completed unitsDisassemble, modify or rework, reassemble, and test units accurately and efficientlyPerform stripping, tinning, or bending parts; fastening terminal connections correctly and efficientlyUse schematics or blueprints, wiring lists, parts lists, and verbal and written instructions to accurately assemble, modify, or reassemble unitsTrain lower-level assemblersFollow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, model safe work practicesContribute to and support a positive and respectful workplacePerform other duties as assignedEssential SkillsGood hand/eye coordinationExcellent oral and written communicationExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action based on guidelinesStrong focus and attention to detailAbility to work independently with limited supervisionAbility to work effectively as part of a teamStrong focus on customer serviceAbility to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with assembly, mechanical assembly, blueprints, deburring, and polishingWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is within an aerospace manufacturing and production machine shop. You will be regularly exposed to vibration and occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places. The work environment may expose you to the risk of electrical shock, and the noise level is usually moderate to high. Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, you may need to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
