Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team on the 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The position offers an hourly target rate of $20/hour. The ideal candidate will have a high school education or equivalent and at least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience. The role involves using hand tools and some power tools, assembling mechanical hardware, and interpreting blueprints, Bills of Materials, and mechanical drawings.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools such as bandsaws and grinders.Solder 1 to 2 wires on a board as part of the mechanical assembly assessment.Interpret and follow blueprints, Bills of Materials, and mechanical drawings.Understand and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Perform simple mathematical calculations, including ratios and fractions.Utilize basic computer skills to perform required duties.Work with ERP systems, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience.Understand and apply 6S and Lean Manufacturing practices.Essential SkillsHigh school education or equivalent.2 years of mechanical assembly experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.Basic understanding of mechanical hardware assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, Bills of Materials, and mechanical drawings.Strong mechanical aptitude.Basic computer skills (Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word).Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.Must be a U.S. Person for access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ERP systems is highly preferred.Understanding of 6S and Lean Manufacturing practices is a plus.Why Work Here?
