Mechanical Assembler
**Mechanical Assembler up to $20 hourly!! 4 day work week** **Job Description** Assemble metal-clad equipment and other power distribution equipment, installing components, units, and subassemblies according to job specifications. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components/parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications. Set up and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures. Install components by reading and interpreting material lists and panel layouts. Disassemble finished product (split), prepare for shipping, and assist in the shipping process. Understand and execute company goals and objectives while actively contributing to team cohesiveness. Perform all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management. **Responsibilities** + Assemble metal-clad equipment and other power distribution equipment. + Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports. + Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components/parts to correct defects. + Set up and maintain a clean and safe working environment. + Follow all safety policies and procedures. + Install components by reading and interpreting material lists and panel layouts. + Disassemble finished product, prepare for shipping, and assist in the shipping process. + Contribute to team cohesiveness and company goals. + Perform all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical assembly experience. + Proficiency with tape measure, hand tools, and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings. + Mechanical aptitude and repair skills. + Experience with soldering, wiring, and electrical components. + High school diploma or equivalent. + 1-2 years of assembly experience preferred. + Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. + Capability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement. + Ability to write simple correspondence and complete routine reports. + Experience using hand-held power tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. + Capacity to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. + Proficiency in written and spoken communication. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a recently implemented 4-day work week for better work-life balance. May be required to work some optional overtime on Fridays. Work is mostly quiet and clean, with employees working independently on different sections of the builds.
