Job Description

We are looking for an Assembler for Manufacturing Assembly of industrial pump systems. This position is a contract-to-hire role. The candidate needs to be able to interpret blueprints, use pneumatic tools to mechanically assemble pump systems, and perform quality assurance by testing the end product. Previous pump assembly experience is highly preferred.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret blueprints for pump assembly and service.Use pneumatic tools to mechanically assemble pump systems.Perform quality assurance by testing the end product.Align pumps accurately during assembly.Work independently on assembly builds.Dis-assemble and re-assemble pumps using blueprints for service.Describe impellers, bearings, shafts, and other pump components.Use pick lists to complete pump assembly.Handle hand tools and follow blueprints accurately.Essential SkillsMechanical assembly experience.Ability to interpret blueprints.Experience with pneumatic tools.Quality assurance skills.Centrifugal pump experience.Hand tool knowledge.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.Must have steel toe boots from day one.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Indoor warehouse facility. Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00
