Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will work in the Sub Assembly or general assembly areas, adding brackets, using hand and power tools to add fasteners, clips, or other hardware onto window units. You will also use caulking guns to fill spaces, paint the ends of materials, wrap the final units, and inspect throughout the process for any flaws in assembly or final manufacturing.

ResponsibilitiesAdd brackets, fasteners, clips, and other hardware to window units using hand and power tools.Use caulking guns to fill spaces as needed.Paint the ends of materials and wrap final units.Inspect units throughout the assembly process for any flaws.Meet overall production goals and daily production goals for respective departments and assembly lines.Cross-train in various areas and remain flexible to learning different parts of the process.Handle large pieces of glass and sheet metal, ensuring precision in work.Stand and walk for 8-hour shifts while assembling units.Retrieve materials from outside the yard and conduct unit testing in the testing booth.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude.Proficiency in reading a tape measure.Minimum of 6 months in an assembly role.Experience with hand and power tools.Flexibility in task assignments.Positive attitude and great listening skills.Ability to move quickly and efficiently from task to task.Additional Skills & QualificationsComputer skills are a plus.Experience in construction or home improvement is ideal.Willingness to handle material handling or cleaning tasks if needed.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a non-climate-controlled facility with loud machines and a busy manufacturing environment. Products are stored both inside and outside, requiring exposure to the elements for material handling tasks. The team works with very large pieces of glass, sheet metal, and steel frames. The shift time is from 7am to 3:30pm, with mandatory overtime when necessary, including potential Saturday work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
