Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Manufacturing Assembler performs line component assembly and individual sub-assembly, material and final washing, rework and repair operations, and pallet loading. The Operator B assists in maintaining quality and manufacturing processes to meet company objectives and achieve customer satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare work to be accomplished by studying job packet and work instructions.Examine parts for correct fit and assemble parts and subassemblies per work instructions.Verify specifications are met through visual inspection, automated measuring/monitoring equipment, and final test equipment.Demonstrate capability to meet standard level of productivity, including deburring, grinding, and machine operation.Proactively resolve problems related to meeting specifications and communicate with Line Lead or Supervisor to obtain additional resources.Document actions by completing production and quality forms (e.g., scrap tags).Escalate issues to Line Lead that prevent the execution of standard work in their work center.Initiate programs and operate test stands.Assist Engineering in troubleshooting general issues.Maintain product quality by following established procedures and customer requirements.Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, and regulations.Notify Line Lead or Supervisor immediately of problems.Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.Participate and contribute to team effort by working toward daily metrics posted in specific work areas.Maintain daily housekeeping to promote a clean, productive environment.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Line Lead or Supervisor.Essential SkillsExperience with hand and power tools.Mechanical assembly experience preferred.6 months manufacturing experience.Ability to read blueprints.Capability to meet standard level of productivity.Additional Skills & QualificationsProactively work to resolve problems.Effective communication skills.Ability to follow established procedures and regulations.Experience in troubleshooting general issues.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

You will be standing all day during your shift in a very clean manufacturing environment. The facility is air-conditioned and requires exposure to oils, cleaners, loud noises (hearing protection provided in select areas), moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Eye protection is required in all plant work areas, and slip-resistant safety shoes are mandatory.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $20.30/hr.
