**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our assembly department. You will be responsible for working on metal seals, assembling parts using basic hand tools, and ensuring the quality of each component. This role involves using a press machine to seal edges, inspecting parts for quality, washing parts, and performing vacuum testing. You will also be responsible for packing finished products and labeling them. The parts you work on will be used in airplanes and the aerospace industry. **Responsibilities** + Assemble metal seals using basic hand tools. + Operate a press machine to seal edges and ensure there are no leaks. + Inspect each part for quality. + Wash parts as necessary. + Perform vacuum testing on parts. + Pack finished products into boxes and label them. + Work with parts for airplanes and the aerospace industry. **Essential Skills** + 1 year of assembly experience. + Experience with hand tools (screwdriver, wrench, hammer). + Able to lift 5-10 lbs continuously, sometimes up to 35 lbs. + Attention to detail. + Experience with blueprints and schematics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Shipping experience (assisting in sending out seals). + Machine operating experience. + Experience with micrometers and calipers. + Previous experience in the aerospace industry. **Why Work Here?** Join a company with a good culture that is medium-sized but growing. Occasional Saturday work may be required, up to twice a month. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes and jeans, with ear protection provided. You will be part of a team of about 5-7 people in a manufacturing environment that is not the cleanest but is typical for the industry. **Shift: 1st Shift 6a.m. to 4.30 p.m.** **Pay: 18-22$** **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harwood Heights, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
