Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Production Assembler** **Job Description** We are looking for an Assembly/Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with their hands. **Responsibilities** + Use hand and power tools to build power units and equipment used on railroads, such as lifts. + Work off blueprints to assemble equipment. + Test machines using various types of equipment. + Adjust machines as needed to complete service or assembly projects. **Essential Skills** + Experience with assembly and mechanical work. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Ability to read blueprints and schematics. + Basic mechanical knowledge. + Experience with electrical assembly. + Ability to use a tape measure. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to read, speak, and write English. + Good communication skills and ability to communicate with other employees. + Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. + Ability to sit, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and move about the factory and office. + Ability to work as a team member with other employees and maintain a positive attitude. **Why Work Here?** Work in a smaller shop setting where you won't feel like just a number in a big process.
