**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual with experience in hand and power tools to assemble parts for the Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality work. **Responsibilities** + Sandblasting + Paint preparation + Cleaning + Building pallets + Deburring various metal components manually or with a machine + Interpreting and following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products + Maintaining inventory of products and parts in workstations + Performing quality work checks to ensure the product exceeds quality standards + Utilizing handheld tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun + Assembling mechanical and pneumatic components into sub-assemblies across multiple assemblies + Performing all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures + Drilling, tapping, reaming by hand/drill + Cleaning and deburring of tools in preparation for shipment + Working with and assembling parts and details with specified tight tolerances **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined + Experience with assembly and hand tools + Ability to interpret blueprints + Proficiency with mechanical assembly + Experience with power tools + Ability to use a tape measure + General labor skills **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in labor and production + Basic understanding of machining techniques **Why Work Here?** We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Medium work is required, exerting between 30 to 50 pounds of force regularly. The role involves climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, standing for sustained periods, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving, and repetitive motions. The worker may be subject to noise requiring ear plugs, hazards from moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, exposure to high heat or chemicals, and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and poor ventilation. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of O Fallon, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
