Job Description

We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual with experience in hand and power tools to assemble parts for the Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality work.

ResponsibilitiesSandblastingPaint preparationCleaningBuilding palletsDeburring various metal components manually or with a machineInterpreting and following basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and productsMaintaining inventory of products and parts in workstationsPerforming quality work checks to ensure the product exceeds quality standardsUtilizing handheld tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gunAssembling mechanical and pneumatic components into sub-assemblies across multiple assembliesPerforming all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety proceduresDrilling, tapping, reaming by hand/drillCleaning and deburring of tools in preparation for shipmentWorking with and assembling parts and details with specified tight tolerancesEssential SkillsMechanically inclinedExperience with assembly and hand toolsAbility to interpret blueprintsProficiency with mechanical assemblyExperience with power toolsAbility to use a tape measureGeneral labor skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in labor and productionBasic understanding of machining techniquesWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is hot and non-climate controlled, typical of the aviation industry. Medium work is required, exerting between 30 to 50 pounds of force regularly. The role involves climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, standing for sustained periods, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving, and repetitive motions. The worker may be subject to noise requiring ear plugs, hazards from moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical currents, exposure to high heat or chemicals, and atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, and poor ventilation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of O Fallon, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
