Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Overview:

We need a Heavy Industrial Assembler/Mechanic urgently to join our team and build drill rigs on trucks. You will handle hydraulic valves/pumps, electrical panels, hoses, fittings, and more. Assemble components using blueprints, with 90% of the work dedicated to building drills and 10% to servicing existing rigs. On-site parts are available, and each assembly takes about a month.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble drill rigs on trucks using hydraulic valves/pumps, electrical panel hardware, hoses, and fittings.Follow blueprints meticulously.Perform electrical assembly for components with 12 volts or lower.Service and repair existing drill rigs for past customers.Work in the shop for the first 2-3 years, then move into service/travel roles for on-site equipment repair.Potential to grow into a Service Tech role, diagnosing and repairing rigs focusing on hydraulic controls, valves, and pumps.

Essential Skills:

2+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment assembly.Strong blueprint and schematic reading ability.Mechanical, hydraulic, and maintenance mechanic experience.Proficiency in heavy equipment assembly and blueprint reading.

Additional Qualifications:

Associate's degree in auto or industrial technology.Experience in diesel repair work.Hydraulic or electrical/controls experience.Welding skills.

Work Environment:

Join a 3rd generation family-owned business manufacturing the Versa-Drill brand of water well, geothermal, exploration, and shallow oil/gas drilling rigs and equipment. Founded in 1962, the company has fewer than 50 employees. Standard shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility needed until 4:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
