**Job Title: Part-Time Quality Control Lab Technician** **Location:** East Granby, CT **Pay:** $20-$22/hr **Hours:** Flexible, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM **Job Summary:** We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented **Part-Time Quality Control Lab Technician** to join our team in East Granby, CT. In this role, you will perform qualification testing on incoming materials, as well as wire and cable, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards. The ideal candidate has great quality control, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments. **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct qualification testing of incoming materials, wire, and cable, adhering to industry and internal procedures. + Set up and perform a variety of quality control inspections/tests, utilizing specialized knowledge of test equipment and understanding the impact of process variables on the product, especially regarding material usage. + Assist in analyzing customer complaints and returns, conduct root cause analysis, and develop resolutions to prevent future issues. + Accurately record and maintain testing data, ensuring compliance with documented procedures. + Collaborate with various teams, including factory supervisors, machine operators, development engineers, process engineers, and technicians, maintaining effective and tactful relationships. + Occasionally interact with outside technical representatives and customer source inspectors. + Support the Quality Control Manager by assisting in the instruction and training of hourly employees in measurements, responsibilities, and data interpretation. + Perform scrap data entry and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements. + Undertake special assignments as directed by the Quality Control Manager. **Required Qualifications:** + Experience in a quality control or laboratory testing environment is preferred. + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise testing and procedural guidelines. + Ability to analyze complex data and generate meaningful insights to improve product quality. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels. + Ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks efficiently. + Willingness to learn new testing methods and processes. **Schedule & Pay:** + Flexible work hours: Monday-Friday, with options for 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. + Competitive hourly pay range: $20-$22/hr.
