**Job Description**
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units, testing and calibrating parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools (wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts) to assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units depending on the drawings/blueprints. There will be times you will work on your own and times you will work with a group of other assemblers. Utilize a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to product prior to shipping. Perform workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
+ Test and calibrate parts to ensure they meet tolerances and product specifications.
+ Utilize hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, pliers, drills, and impacts.
+ Work independently and in groups to complete assembly tasks.
+ Use a propane hand torch to apply shrink wrap material to products prior to shipping.
+ Follow workplace safety protocols, including proper tool usage, lifting techniques, and hazard identification.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of mechanical assembly experience.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
+ Experience operating measuring tools, hand tools, and power tools.
+ 3-5 years of experience operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with skid assembly.

**Work Environment**
Production environment with exposure to loud noise, moving machinery, and other hazards. Frequent lifting and moving objects between 10-50 pounds. Safety protocols must be followed at all times. Night shift hours are 3:30PM - 2:00AM, Monday to Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
