Our client in the aerospace and defence industry is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the production team supporting the assembly of units. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, and possess strong computer skills. **Job Title:** Mechanical Assembler **Location:** Lenexa, KS **Pay Range:** $19-$21/hour depending on shift **What's the Job?** + Perform electronic, electromechanical or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units of moderate complexity + Use a test stand to test product + Identify and select components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units + Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers + Stand for long periods of time, with at least 50% of the workday spent standing/walking **What's Needed?** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals + Ability to write routine reports and correspondence + Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization + Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
