We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembly Tech to join our team on Day shift.

Summary

As a Mechanical Assembly Tech, you will assemble a variety of Mechanical Products by reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and using both power and hand tools in one of the following areas: Vibratory, work cell area and sub-assembly. 

Essential Responsibilities:

•    At all times ensures safety is a top priority while performing any part of the job.
•    Build mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, wire strippers, drills, etc.
•    Follow verbal and written instruction given by Production Supervisor.
•    Able to read and understand blueprints, work instructions and/or electrical schematics.
•    Clearly communicate any quality or blueprint/schematic issues to Production Supervisor or Lead.
•    Use fixtures or templates to build equipment as required per blueprint.
•    Interacts with fellow workers to exchange information accurately.
•    Experienced using various hand and power tools such as wrenches, hammers, air tools, grinders, drills etc.
•    Reads and follows mechanical drawings and written procedures.
•    Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and beginning computer skills. Formal classes from college, trade school or military service helpful. Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings. Ability to follow electrical schematics to wire machines and build electrical panels is a plus.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
