Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will build, repair, diagnose, and test products related to the aerospace, automotive, and biomedical industries. You will perform mechanical assembly and some electrical testing on actuators. This role offers opportunities for training in other departments and provides all necessary tools. You will work off complex 2D and 3D blueprints at your own workstation.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble, configure, test, and calibrate mechanical or electro-mechanical sub-systems according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.Meet standards for quality, efficiency, and schedule.Interpret engineering documents to determine results and processes.Troubleshoot and repair new and customer-owned mechanical sub-systems.Diagnose problems and develop solutions to resolve performance issues.Estimate repair time and collaborate to maintain document accuracy per company policies.Initiate exchange of information on BOM, drawing, and documentation corrections through appropriate processes.Actively influence final documentation decisions.Execute non-conforming materials process accurately.Develop techniques and collaborate in the development of manufacturing and repair processes.Essential SkillsExperience with power tools in a mechanical setting (e.g., mechanical assembly, auto mechanic, etc.)Ability to read and interpret blueprintsExperience with hydraulicsAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge and experience of working with hydro mechanical subsystemsAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose system issuesUnderstanding of the parts of a hydraulic actuatorBasic principles of fluid mechanics and their application to hydraulic engineeringWork Environment
You will work in a very clean, well-lit, and organized production environment. The facility is very quiet, providing a conducive atmosphere for focus and productivity.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00
