**Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician** **Job Description** The Assembly Technician is responsible for installing components and equipment on heavy-duty chassis frames. Our company specializes in manufacturing aircraft refueling and vacuum trucks. **Responsibilities** + Install components and equipment on heavy-duty chassis frames. + Read and interpret blueprints for accurate assembly. + Utilize mechanical tools and shop equipment such as torque wrenches and impact tools. + Work collaboratively within a team of 6-10 assemblers, with 1-2 assemblers per bay area. + Ensure all assembly tasks are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical and heavy equipment. + Proficiency with mechanical tools and shop equipment. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Own set of tools required. + Familiarity with assembly and installation processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in body shop, farm equipment, or upfitting is advantageous. + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. **Work Environment** Candidates will be working in a garage environment, exposed to the elements. The role requires physical activity, including bending, squatting, and lifting 50-100 lbs. The team consists of 6-10 assemblers, with 1-2 assemblers per bay area. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed boots. The shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of starting at 5 AM on hot days.
