Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Mechanical Assemblers. You will be responsible for building 'PODS' or inventory bins at Amazon sites, helping to upgrade the facility to be more automation-friendly. This role involves substantial physical activity, including standing and walking all day, as well as using hand and power tools for mechanical assembly. You will also engage in light housekeeping tasks and inventory assistance. This is a physically demanding position with no time to sit, requiring you to be on your feet 100% of the day and lift objects regularly.

ResponsibilitiesAssemble PODS (inventory bins) using hand and power tools.Perform mechanical assembly tasks with attention to detail.Engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, and lifting objects throughout the day.Assist with light housekeeping tasks and inventory management.Document errors and communicate effectively with team members.Essential SkillsExperience with rivet guns, power tools, and hand tools.Ability to perform heavy lifting and handle physical tasks.Mechanical assembly and production experience.Attention to detail and ability to document errors.Strong communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to lift 40lbs regularly.Experience in construction or production environments.Why Work Here?

This is a unique opportunity to help launch the large Amazon Robotics Distribution Center in Virginia Beach. The position offers competitive pay to compensate for the six-month contract length.

Work Environment

The work environment is a construction site at the Amazon ORF4, located at 1795 Dam Neck Rd. Virginia Beach, VA. The site is currently still under construction with non-climate controlled conditions and port-a-potties available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
