Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the design of mechanical product, for high volume manufacturing, high quality and harsh environment, of High Voltage Power Electronics products.  Your tasks will consist of developing CAD  models and drawings based on mechanical engineer requirements, performing drawing verification of your design, and supporting Manufacturing and Test fixture and gages development.

Key responsibilities              

Perform MCAD activity on new or support existing projects.Create, evaluate and document mechanical designs using corporate tool sets (UG/CATIA / TcEng ).Create and update 3D parts / assemblies / drawingsSupport ME Documentation requirements in line with ME Design processesMake sure the drawings follow internal standards and procedures;Attend project Team meetingsSupport Mechanical Verification activities, requests, tolerances stack-up and                     documentation.Support Change Management process as requiredBe part of the discussion with  suppliers during the development and sourcing activity.Communication/presentation of our results the TeamExchange 3D data with supplier and customer Manage BOM’s

What we’re looking for

University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienceGood Mechanical Engineering backgroundPC Literate, Word, Excel and PowerPoint experiencePrevious design experience in Power Electronics3D Modelling experience is required preferably UG NX /CATIAUnderstanding of the relationships between manufacturing processes materials, and components designs for plastic, sheet metal, and die cast partsDesign experience in a cost competitive automotive environment with particular focus on stringent Sealing, thermal and vibration conditions. (P)Knowledge and understanding of GD&T ASME Y14.5 principles and their applicationTechnical proficiency in a second European Language would be an advantageCustomer-focus, leadership spirit, motivation skills, work in a team environmentPC Literate: MS Office, CAD programsFluency in English is required. German and/or French is a plus        Mechanical design in a high volume, quality sensitive, manufacturing organizationProducts – Automotive, High power control unitsGood level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with othersGood level of oral and written communication skills in EnglishExcellent time keeping and attendance recordBe willing to travel and work in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development team spread across several locations in the world.
