Our client is an established main contractor working across Europe specialising in the delivery of construction and engineering projects on behalf of global blue-chip clients. They offer a full turnkey service for their clients from design, construction, and handover across the full range of CSA (civil, structural, architectural), MEP (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning works.
The need now exists for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager for projects in Denmark. As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will manage all aspects of the mechanical construction process from planning to completion including managing resources, schedules, budgets, and ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop comprehensive mechanical project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets in coordination with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives and specifications are met.
Oversee & manage the mechanical construction process including the integration of mechanical packages into overall project, ensuring projects are completed according to design, schedule, and budget.
Lead the on-site mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and quality standards.
Supervise site managers, supervisors, subcontractors, and other site staff, assigning tasks and responsibilities to ensure that all team members are clear on their roles, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
Carry out regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any potential mechanical issues.
Prepare and manage resource allocation, ensuring effective use of resources, monitor project expenditures and identify cost saving opportunities.
Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all work is performed according to contractual terms and conditions, addressing any contractual disputes or claims that arise during the project execution.
Carry out regular safety audits and training sessions, ensuring all mechanical construction activities comply with health and safety regulations and all necessary permits and licences are obtained for the project.
Review and approve completed work to ensure it meets specifications and high-quality standards of workmanship and materials throughout the project, addressing any quality issues effectively in coordination with BCAR.
Degree/qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
4+ years of accomplishments in Mechanical Construction Management role within construction and engineering.
Proven ability to manage large scale projects and deliver results within budget and schedule.
Strong knowledge of the full design and construction process of mechanical projects.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and tools such as Windows, MS Office, and MS Project.
