Visit our Careers website to learn more about careers at Applied. **Key Responsibilities** Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex mechanical problems with limited to no supervision. Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers. Specify the development of, design, or modify engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope. Interface with internal and external customers regarding wide range of complex mechanical issues for specific project. Implements concepts for range of complex product issues and solutions. May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Establishes standards across all operational processes. Serves as technical expert on specialized projects or programs. Generate product specifications. , concept & feasibility tests, technology and vendor selection, modeling and simulating, motion profiles and control design, lab tests, system integration, Configuration control & Serial production transition. Define, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reports. Specify and review engineering documentation. Specify or perform engineering analysis of complex scope with limited to no supervision. Responsibility for the development plans, timeline & budget. Work closely with multiple groups across the organization – EE, ME, SW, Process, Operations, Manufacturing and Service. Lead periodic technical review meetings. **Functional Knowledge** Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field. Precision motion systems experience. Air bearings, linear motors, encoders, controllers, submicron level precision At least 5 years of servo system design, test and integration experience desired. Strong control knowledge including control system tuning, linear/non-linear systems, dynamics and design of robust, stable systems. Experience with motion control simulations. ACS and ETEL motion controllers experience a plus. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
