We are currently seeking a Mechanical/Cx Engineer to join our Advanced Energy/Generation & Energy Management Team from any of the following CHA office locations:  Albany, NY or Parsippany, NJ. 

 

CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. This role provides the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.

Working alongside CHA’s professional engineers, the Mechanical/Cx Engineer supports the design development, implementation and technical analysis of technical various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. The Mechanical/Cx Engineer aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. The professional in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

 

This individual identifies technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections. Additionally, the Mechanical/Cx Engineer develops and maintains a familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the firm’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field requiredEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification requiredMinimum of 2 years of related Engineering experience requiredStrong knowledge of engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering fieldDemonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering disciplineFamiliar with QA/QC proceduresEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist more senior staffProficiency with Microsoft Office software required CULTURE/EEO STATEMENT
