DoE Keywords: #MechanicalEngineer #DesignEngineer #EngineeringJobs #OHjobs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Provide customer specific system configuration detail design coordination for initial product quotation response. * Provide ECN documentation control organization for all new or changed product documentation requirements. * Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling of booth air flows and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on design structures * Provide 3D documentation and design support for ongoing customer & standard product requirements including 3D sheet metal product design, 3D assembly and schematic label and wiring documentation. * Provide technician support for modified standard 'specials' project and product requirements such as top level BOM support, off-load project build support and prototype build coordination. * Solid Works design and well referenced successful mechanical design of machined, fabricated, plastic/sheet metal parts, and pneumatic. * Work from client's instruction, and standard product design, and engineer's instruction to design a device that utilizes pneumatic, sheet metal, plastic parts, weldment/casting, fabricated plate metal parts, and machined parts. * Works with engineers and representatives of other departments in the design, evaluation and improvement of tools, methods, and processes within the company. * Acts as a key contributor in guiding mechanical engineering on projects from concept to shipment. * Leads mechanical engineering staff in using sound principles, theories, and concepts in analyzing complex engineering problems. * Remain informed of new engineering technologies related to new materials, processes, and procedures to enhance and improve client's products. * Devises and coaches the mechanical engineering staff in applying new approaches to mechanical engineering problems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum associate degree in mechanical engineering, preference BA or equivalent in mechanical engineering degree * Must have three to five years of product design experience using SolidWorks. * Blasting experience preferred * 3D design capabilities using SolidWorks. * Good computer proficiency including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint.. * Designed any equipment and sized/specified pneumatic applications is a big plus. * Experience working independently using Solid Works CAD software is a must.
