Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

We're looking for an outstanding mechanical design engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This individual will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and related analysis specifically for hardware testing in robotics. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D and 2D mechanical designs for flight-critical avionics systems.Perform related analyses for hardware testing in robotics.Design mechanical assemblies for electronics.Utilize rapid prototype tooling for design development.Manage projects effectively.Work collaboratively with other team members to develop test fixtures, execute test plans, and collect and analyze data.Essential Skills3-4 years of experience as a mechanical engineer (less if holding a master's degree).Proficiency in MCAD software for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Experience designing mechanical assemblies for electronics.Experience with rapid prototype tooling.Strong project management skills.Excellent communication and writing skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsThermal simulation analysis using ANSYS IcePak and/or Siemens Star CCM.Mechanical stack-up analysis.Structural load analysis.Experience with engineering project management software such as JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.Work Environment

The role involves hardware testing across all robotics programs, from prototype to production levels. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment with other team members, developing test fixtures and executing test plans. Responsibilities also include data collection and analysis to ensure high-quality outcomes.
