Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will participate in hands-on design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will utilize the company's vault/design library, learning and following company standards to design from scratch to completion. The current workload includes projects with Diesel Engine manufacturers and other major OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in hands-on design using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Utilize the company's vault/design library and follow company standards to design automated washers from scratch to completion.Work on various projects revolving around powertrain assembly and assembly equipment.Provide engineering solutions as you design, including understanding and implementing GD&T tolerancing.Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.Visit customer sites as required (up to 5% travel).Essential Skills8+ years of mechanical engineering/design experience within automation.Proficiency in SolidWorks (both 3D and 2D versions).Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.Experience in the automation space (preferably powertrain-related industrial washers and tool carriers).Understanding of GD&T tolerancing.Effective communication skills.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00
