Take ownership for complex projects

You will be responsible for the design and requisition engineering of Air Intake, Exhaust, Acoustical Enclosures, Structures and Ventilation Systems for Gas Turbine applications. You will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity. You will be responsible for technical improving of existing products/components and incorporating new cost-effective solutions for designs.
 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Designing according to Company Best Practices and International Standards.Modeling Systems 3D arrangement based on application and environmental conditions.Optimizing Systems for performance and cost effectiveness in collaboration with Procurement department.Being the main interface point with Customers and Application Engineering.Being responsible to perform basic & front-end design managing external Engineering suppliers, too.Supporting vendors during procurement and Field Service Engineers during equipment installation.Contribute in R&D initiatives.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a degree from an accredited university in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.Have preferably proven experience in Mechanical Design engineering for components and support structures with knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.Be familiar with CAD software such as Unigraphics or similar and familiar with FEA tools (e.g. ANSYS, STAAD, SAP).Be familiar with International Codes as Eurocode, AISC, ASCE7, etc., noise control techniques and fluid dynamics.Be familiar with problem-solving techniques and processes.Be familiar with electrical and instrumentation basic concepts.Have good interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English; able to influence and motivate others.
