Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

This individual will be responsible for supporting New Product Development (NPD) throughout its lifecycle and some designing/detailing of new products. The role includes concept modeling in 3D and 2D, documenting design intent on 2D drawings, ensuring parametric requirements are maintained, performing tolerance stack-up analysis, and verifying that material selection and processes are fit for use and function.

ResponsibilitiesSupport NPD throughout its lifecycle.Design and detail new products.Create and document 3D models and assemblies.Produce manufacturing, assembly, and installation documentation.Perform tolerance stack-up analysis.Verify material selection and processes for suitability.Support existing product design changes.Essential Skills2 to 5 years of experience with 3D modeling and drafting (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred).Proficiency in 3D modeling, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and new product development.Experience in sheet metal design and mechanical engineering.Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).1 to 5 years of experience in AutoCAD or SolidWorks or ProE.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in SolidWorks rendering is a plus.Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices.Experience entering Bills of Materials (BOMs).Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in Stony Point, NY, with a business casual dress code. You will be working with a small engineering team, fostering lots of development and collaboration across teams. The company offers great benefits and employee offerings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
